🛂 1. Bring Your Passport — It’s Mandatory

The festival takes place in the Turkish part of Cyprus, which requires a passport for entry.
Nobody will be allowed to enter with just an ID card.
Double-check it before traveling!

✈️ 2. Best Airports & Travel Options

The island has different access points and some important differences:

  • Larnaca (Greek side) – Best option, with the most flight connections.
  • Ercan (Turkish side) – Also possible, usually connecting via Istanbul.
  • Paphos (Greek side) – Works especially well for passengers coming through the UK.

No matter which airport you choose, all VPT hotel packages include round-trip airport–hotel shuttle service.

💱 3. Currency & Payments

Some quick but essential points:

  • The local currency is Turkish Lira,
  • BUT all tournaments are played, registered, and paid in US Dollars ($).
  • You can pay with:
    • 💵 Cash: USD or EUR
    • 💳 Credit card
    • 🪙 Crypto (USDT)

Every hotel package booked through VPT includes:

🚗 5. Transportation Made Easy

Booking a partner hotel guarantees comfort and convenience:

  • Airport ↔ hotel shuttle: included in every package
  • Hotel ↔ casino transfers: free if you stay at MC Palace or Chamada Girne
  • Chamada Prestige guests stay directly in the same building as the casino

This means no taxis, no planning, no stress.

🏙 6. Where You’ll Be Staying

The closest town to the Chamada Prestige Casino is Girne (Kyrenia).
One of our partner hotels, Chamada Girne, is located right there, offering easy access to restaurants, cafés and nightlife outside the poker room.

📵 7. Important! Avoid Using Mobile Data

Do NOT use your mobile data in Cyprus when you are on the Turkish side — roaming charges are extremely expensive.

Recommended options:

  • Keep mobile data OFF
  • Use Wi-Fi in the hotel, casino and poker room
  • Ask your provider if they offer a temporary roaming pass (rare, but sometimes available)

🔌 8. Power Adapters – Very Important for EU Travelers

Cyprus uses UK-style power sockets (Type G), not standard EU plugs.

If you are traveling from most EU countries:

EU plugs (Type C / F) will NOT fit
You will need a EU → UK (Type G) power adapter
