The VPT Squad Battle returns for the Vamos Poker Tour Troia 2026 🇵🇹, running from July 20 to 26, with over €3,300 in prizes up for grabs. If you love playing poker with your crew, competing as a team, and racking up rewards along the way, this is your moment: gather your squad and get ready to take over the tables.

What Is the VPT Squad Battle?

The Squad Battle is a parallel competition within the Vamos Poker Tour where players don’t compete solo — they battle as a team of friends. Each Squad adds up the points its members earn across the seven official tournaments of the VPT Troia 2026, and the team that racks up the most points in the MVP Ranking takes home the grand prize.

And it’s no ordinary prize: the winning Squad walks away with a full ADDED package for the VPT Sofia 2026 🇧🇬✈️, taking place from November 2 to 8. In other words: a poker trip to Bulgaria with your team, on the house.

How It Works

The system is simple. You build your team, register together, and from that point on every point counts. Every time a Squad member finishes ITM (in the money) in any of the seven VPT Troia 2026 tournaments, they score points for the team. The captain has a special bonus: every point they earn is multiplied by 1.20, which makes choosing your captain a genuinely strategic decision.

At the end of the festival, all team points are added up and the Squad with the highest total takes the package to Sofia.

The Rules of the Game

Registration is 100% free through the official website. Squads are made up of a maximum of 4 players (1 captain plus up to 3 members), though teams of a minimum of 3 players are also allowed. Each team must choose a unique name to be identified with throughout the festival, and that name cannot be offensive, rude, or insulting — otherwise the Squad won’t be registered.

The captain is responsible for registering the team online through the tournament website, and there’s one important rule to keep in mind: a player can only belong to one Squad. If someone gets registered in two or more teams, the organization will reach out to confirm which one is correct. In that case, the other affected Squads will be allowed to add another member before registration closes. If the player doesn’t respond, they’ll automatically be assigned to the first Squad they were registered in.

Registration is already open and will close on Monday, July 20 at 22:00. The official list of participating Squads will be published on the Squad Battle page, so you’ll be able to scout the competition before the action kicks off in Troia.
