Special rules for the Vamos Poker Tour:
Deals:
Deals will be allowed in all casinos on the circuit. All deals will be reported to the media and management. Failure to comply with this rule may result in penalties affecting the overall VPT ranking.
In the event of prize changes, the levels will be reduced to half the announced time.
If a deal is made where there is less than 5% of the remaining prizes in play, the levels are reduced to 5 minutes, instead of half the announced time.
VPT reserves the right to reject and cancel any deal that does not comply with tournament ethics.
The maximum number of players to make a deal is 6 players.
VPT will only pay out agreed prizes that have been authorized and verified by the tournament organizers. Any type of deal made without our authorization will be null and void, with no right to claim by the players. Any type of agreement made without prior authorization may lead to sanctions when playing in future tournaments and disqualification from the ranking.
Winner: The player who wins the tournament will always be the one who wins the most money. If several players win the same amount, the winner will be the one with the most chips at the time of distribution.
Modified prizes: Only after the final table can the prizes be modified. In the event of an agreement, the actors involved in the agreement will receive what is established by the executed agreement: equal share, ICM, etc.
Types of agreements: We allow agreements of different types. They can be agreed for chips, ICM or other modalities. In any case, they can agree and separate an agreed amount of prizes to continue playing. This amount can change depending on the tournament, and it is recommended that, by separating it, any player can win the tournament. VPT recommends leaving a minimum of 10% of the total sum of prizes in play. These will be modified on the tournament clock screen so that the actual prizes and the places they collect are reflected at all times.
The blind levels will be reduced by half when a deal is done or when the tourney reaches Heads-Up play.
Tournaments not completed before the Casino Closes:
If any tournament doesn’t finish on the scheduled day, and there is no deal between the remaining players, players will play the following day at the same start time as the unfinished tournament.
There is one exception: for tournaments on the last day of the festival, if the tournament has not finished by the time the Casino closes, an agreement must be made through ICM.
Number of players at the table:
Whenever the logistics of the tournament allow it, during days 1 and 2, the tables will be 9 players, and from the bubble we will play 8 players.
The final tables will have the number of players of a full table for the event, plus one more player.
Better Stack:
Players will have the right to participate in as many day 1s as they want, and move on to day 2 with the best stack.
Big Blind Ante (BB ante):
Retentions:
Retentions made by the VPT organization will be different for each festival, and will be adapted to the specific conditions of each country and Casino/Poker Room. The total % retained by the VPT will never exceed 21%, including rake.
In addition to rake and the hosting fee, 3% will be retained for the various VPT Rankings at each festival.
At all VPT festivals, 2% is retained for the MVP Ranking. This money is distributed entirely among the top ranked players at each festival.
At all VPT festivals, 1% is retained for the Annual MVP Ranking. This money is distributed entirely among the best classified in each festival.
Tickets for the Grand Final:
The tournaments with more than 1 day will have included in the top prizes a Ticket for the Grand Final. Those tickets are extracted from the prize pool.
For the VPT 2025 in Cyprus, the tickets have a value of 770$. We will deduct it from those tournaments: Main Event (5), High Roller (3), Mystery Bounty (2), and Warm Up (2). Only for prizes +2.700€.
The 770$ tickets will be ONLY valid for the VPT 2025 Final in Cyprus. If the ticket is not used in this festival, will be lost. There is no chance to use it in any other festival.
The tickets can be transferred to other players. Tickets can only be transferred to players who have not had any other ticket. If a player has already a ticket can not buy it a second one.
If a player has 2 or more tickets can use them for reentry or as credit to play the 1.500$ Vamos High Roller.
Guarantee:
For a guaranteed amount to be valid, there must be 10 or more players registered at the scheduled start time of the tournament.
If there are NOT 10 players registered at the start time, the guaranteed amount is invalidated and the tournament will be played as normal, but without any guarantee.
The bounties are always included in the guaranteed prize pool.
The percentages of the organization, the MVP Ranking, and the Annual Ranking will also be retained in case of overlay. The minimum prize that will be distributed is the guaranteed GTD minus that %.
Image rights:
All players who register for a Vamos Poker Tour tournament agree that their image may be photographed and recorded for marketing and promotional purposes.
If a player does not want to appear in photos and/or videos, they can inform the Vamos Poker Tour team in advance and our marketing team will prevent their image from appearing in our videos/photos.
TDA Rules:
All tournaments and festivals of the Vamos Poker Tour will be governed by the rules updated by the TDA (Tournament Directors Association).
