Individual glory wasn’t the only thing up for grabs at VPT Troia 2026. Running alongside the main schedule, the Squad Battle turned the festival into a team sport — packs of up to four players pooling their ranking points across the week, chasing a single prize and plenty of bragging rights. Eighteen squads signed up, and after seven tournaments, one team pulled clear.

THE CHAMPIONS

‘Lo que quieras quiero’ take it with 599.54 points

The team title goes to “Lo que quieras quiero” (Spain), who topped the standings with 599.54 points — nearly 100 clear of the chasing pack. Captained by Francisco Javier Dopazo Paz — himself the festival’s individual runner-up — the squad lined up alongside Jorge Rodriguez Suanzes, Jorge Garcia Galiani and Miguel Veran Abeijon. Four cashing players, a captain’s haul boosted by the 1.20x multiplier, and no weak link: that’s the recipe that booked their seats to Bulgaria.

MVP’s team edged out for the crown

There was a neat twist behind them. Festival MVP Reger Antonio Munoz captained “Los de dentro del caballo” — with Main Event champion Pablo Lario Hernandez on the roster — but even that star line-up had to settle for second on 506.07 points. Juan Revuelta Marchena’s “EV Hunters” completed the podium in third with 429.12, holding off Spain’s “Galiza team!!!” and Poland’s “Joker Poland” in a tight fight for the places.

The rules of the team game

The concept is simple and free to enter. Squads of three to four players (one captain plus up to three members) register through the official site, then rack up points every time a member finishes in the money across the festival’s official tournaments. The twist that shapes every roster: every point the captain scores is multiplied by 1.20x, so picking the right captain matters as much as picking the right team. Each player can belong to only one squad, and names have to be unique — and clean.
