The Vamos Poker Tour touched down on the Troia peninsula for a week that had it all. VPT Troia 2026 ran from 20 to 26 July at Casino Troia, packing nine tournaments into seven days and drawing a genuinely international field — Portuguese and Spanish regulars rubbing shoulders with players from Italy, France, Germany, Poland, Ukraine, China and beyond. When the dust settled, one name stood above the rest.

THE MVP

Reger Antonio Munoz runs away with it — 279.11 points

The VPT Troia 2026 MVP is Reger Antonio Munoz (Spain), who topped the ranking with a commanding 279.11 points — more than 70 clear of the field. His week was built on one monumental result and two more deep runs: he won the High Roller for the single biggest score of the festival, went deep in the Main Event, and chopped The Saver on the final day. Three cashes in the events that mattered most, and an MVP title to show for it.

MAIN EVENT · THE HEADLINER

452 runners, €125,000 guaranteed — and a heads-up deal

The €350 Main Event was the beating heart of the festival. A huge 452 entries blew past the €125,000 guarantee across three days of play, with 55 players reaching the money. When it came down to the wire, the last two cut a deal: Marcin Marek Czernik (Poland) banked the biggest cheque at €23,535, but it was Pablo Lario Hernandez (Spain) who lifted the trophy as champion for €21,090. Andrii Turkol completed the podium in third. It was the story everyone came to Troia to write.

HIGH ROLLER · THE KNOCKOUT BLOW

Reger Antonio Munoz banks €18,000 and 181.94 points

If the Main Event was the biggest field, the €700 High Roller produced the biggest single moment of the week. From 151 entries and a €50,000 guarantee, Reger Antonio Munoz outlasted everyone to collect €18,000 and a festival-best 181.94 ranking points — the score that effectively decided the MVP race then and there. Francisco Mascarenhas (Portugal) took runner-up for €12,000, with Italy’s Giorgio Calligaris third.

AROUND THE SCHEDULE

The supporting cast

Away from the two marquee events, the trophies were spread across the map. João Narciso (Portugal) got the festival rolling by taking the Warm Up and its 256-entry field for €6,600. China’s Li Guo won the PLO Championship KO, the only non-Hold’em event on the card, while Jorge Rodriguez Suanzes (Spain) came out on top of the GrandStack. France’s Yann Auffret powered through the Ultra KO Turbo.

Two events ended in multi-way deals. The Mini Vamos — the festival’s biggest low buy-in draw at 215 entries — was chopped three ways, with Steffen Logen (Germany) taking the top line and €9,000. On closing day, The Saver PKO also split three ways between David Moreno Rivas, Andriy Berezyak and MVP-in-waiting Reger Antonio Munoz — one last cash to seal his week. The €1,100 EPM Super High Roller was the week’s only casualty, cancelled before it got underway.ç

‘Lo que quieras quiero’ tops the team standings

Troia also crowned a team champion. In the Squad Battle, where four-player teams pool their ranking points across the week, “Lo que quieras quiero” (Spain) ran out clear winners with 599.54 points, led by captain Francisco Javier Dopazo Paz alongside Jorge Rodriguez Suanzes, Jorge Garcia Galiani and Miguel Veran Abeijon. MVP Reger Antonio Munoz’s squad, “Los de dentro del caballo,” pushed them hard into second on 506.07, with “EV Hunters” third.
